About the Author:
I love reading, writing, and chocolate. I have two books coming out this year. One is a Post-Apoc to be part of Anthology due out December 6th with Pink Petal Books. The other is a PNR novel Releasing November 15th.

I grew up in the Colorado Mountains a place full of possibilities. I never found what truly made me happy until I discovered writing. I didn't really like to read until I tried something a little different. Then like a wildfire my passion grew into a career. I'm thankful every day to have found where I belong.

My Review:

I adored this story!! Debra's creativity deserves 5 stars all by itself!

From page 1, you're immediately drawn into the main character's life story: Kate. The letter coming from her deceased husband throws her world into a great world of unknowns. On her quest to follow the directions in the letter, Kate goes in search of Xander. She honestly needed smacking upside the head a few times while she was making her "jump in head first without thinking" kinda decisions (like entering the bar then following strange men into an alleyway). Well, she finds Xander thank goodness because he has to save her from her own stupidity. LoL Can you say - enter sexual tension?! Yum. I immediately loved Xander's bad attitude & alpha male personality (I know, I know, why do I always fall for the rough around the edges sort, LoL) but you start seeing other sides of him - Like the fact that he's a vampire. You never really get an in depth perception of any of the characters - just small glimpses into their lives - so you sort of have to build upon your own imagination when you're thinking about what really makes the characters...well, them.

Debra keeps you on your toes, throwing new twists & discoveries at the reader every few pages so you're never bored. I enjoyed the plot & loved the creativity of the events that unfold.

I would've liked more as far as the depth of the characters but overall, it wasn't a deal breaker for me. Kate is annoying here and there, but I never wanted to throw the book across the room because of it. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Xander & Kate so I look forward to seeing where the story goes!
